2006 Matchplay

 
Golfer Steve Watson (8) beat John Fish (15) to win his fifth  Matchplay Shield. John playing in his first ever final was one up after a birdie at the 5th but then lost the next 2 holes with shots. Steve birdied the 9th and John won the 11th with a shot. The next two were halved but then John lost the index 2 14th. With both players parring the short 15th it was all over by 4 and 3.
