This event was re-staged in March 2003 after the abandoning of the December event due to a waterlogged course. There was a field of 12 playing in the tough windy conditions. Steve Watson won his eighth major competition with Woodvale scoring 33 points and victory, including three birdies. This put him three shots ahead of the field with newcomer Peter Chance in the runner-up spot and Robin Dyson third. In the team event, a tough format with better ball to score on the odds and worst ball to score on the evens, Steve was partnered with Peter Hopkins and guest Graham Harris to win on the countback.
