1994 Matchplay Knockout
|
The 1994 competition saw a drop in numbers with just a
field of eight. At least this meant that there would be no walkovers.
Steve Watson made it to his second final in a row, again played at his
home course of Purley Downs. But Mark Staples would get his
revenge for a semi-final defeat from last year. In the closest final for
four years Mark won it on the seventeenth as both players got par fours,
for a 2&1 victory. |
