2002 Matchplay Knockout

 
Golfer Peter Hopkins & Bob Torreson battled it out in their first ever final and like last year it was all square after 18 holes. And again like last year it was the first extra hole that saw a winner. Peter Hopkins won the all important extra hole at Selsdon Park to win him the Matchplay shield. Peter has now won four of the society's five majors, a feat no other can equal.
