Our Woodvale golfers again had good weather at West Kent, tucked away in Downe, and very close to Biggin Hill airfield. Leader at the halfway mark was Richard Walsh on 19. Just one blob on the back nine gave him 33 and the runner-up spot. Pammi Channa shot 17 for the first nine but finished in joint 4th on 30. Colin Fish also finished on 30, thanks to a blistering 20 on the second nine. New member Gary Bull took third thanks to his 31 points. But it was John Jones who took the spoils. He scored an excellent 36 with two blobs and a birdie to win the Stableford Trophy. The 27-handicapper also scooped the Winners Salver being one of last seasons four winners playing in the event. 

The top guest was John Fish, a past member and Stableford winner who scored a fine 34. The Nearest-the-pin was won by Gary Bull who hit to within about ten feet at the 8th. The Longest-drive was won by Paul Jeanes for the 4th time on the 14th hole. The afternoon Texas Scramble saw the only two-ball win by just under one shot. The duo of Gary Bull and Ian Pearce dropped only two shots and with their handicap scored a net 64.6 for the par 70 course. The trio who just missed out despite 3 birdies and fifteen pars was Steve Watson, Peter Chance and Keith Atkins.
