Paul Jeanes overcame the toughest ever conditions in Woodvale's thirteen year history to win the Autumn's Stableford Trophy from a field of 21 very wet golfers. Continual rain showers all day made it very tough yet the players were still able to put in some good scores. Paul's 36 started with 20 on the front nine the same as Mark Staples. The outcome was decided on the countback which had to go to the back six. Paul Hanby took third which meant for the first time ever no ex-footballing member made the top-three.

Paul Jeanes added to his silverware as he also won the Longest-Drive on the 10th hole. The Nearest-the-Pin at the seventeenth was over water with the pin only some nine foot from the front of the green. Al Nawrocki won this prize and a two into the bargain. With three golfers not prepared to brave the elements for the afternoon round a team was hastily put together at the back of the field. On paper the three 23-handicappers looked to be at a big disadvantage but were one of a number of teams who shot a gross 77. And with their highest handicap the team of Colin Fish, Paul Hanby and Shailen Patel won the Texas Scramble by a couple of shots.

The morning stableford was the final round for the 1999/2000 Championship. Paul Simmonds score of 33 was enough to see him overtake the two leading players for a final score of 131 and victory by 2 over Ian Cooper and Gary Pitt.
